This morning, bubs woke up at 4am and refused to go back to sleep for 2 hours. Uuurgh. Brain all dribbly. I thought of so many blog posts I could write, but bugger it. This is all I can manage today. I need to marshall my resources for tonight’s writing session.
My mood got a boost though when I went out and bought another 200 sheets of paper for the writing folder. Very exciting.
I managed 800 words last night, even with the sinus headache from hell.
Your turn! Give me a status update for your day; good, bad or anything in between. Feel free to rail and whine, if you need to, or shout and cheer if you can!

I critiqued a YA chapter for someone in my local group. Your advice is really sticking with me–I’m desperately trying to get the author to get inside the 13yo girl’s head instead just describing things.
I started a new chapter for The Immortals (my other WIP which is awesome but way incomplete)
And I’m waiting for a critique for a chapter of Dawn’s Rise (hint hint)

Getting critiqued by others was the best learning experience, and I’m glad to pass it on.

nothing done yet… after falling asleep during the first 20mins of a DVD this evening, I’ve decided I have to write despite very much just wanting to sleep. Shame I wasted 20 mins lying in bed trying to decide whether to write or not! lol

At least you got 20 minutes more nap time…

I am approaching the 45k mark in my novel, which I don’t treat as any sort of landmark accomplishment. Instead, I made a mental note that the story has shifted, the characters have grown, and the final revelation is on the horizon. Of course, my little two year old girl keeps me pretty busy. However, I have been persistent in the division of time. Generally, my goal is a thousand words a day, but the words are like rain: sometimes it’s a downpour, other times it’s a brief, refreshing drizzle.

Still at work, and have to remember to go to Whole Foods for the specialty items on the grocery list after work. Got stuck on CSS on the website revamp, so I dribbling out the edits I need to get typed in between job duty stuff. Would rather be heading home now, so I could get the shopping done and still have energy to be productive.

It can be such a struggle to find the energy to keep going after a long day.
