Those of you who have been following my blog for a while know that, when I’m in the writing zone, I can witter on with drivel for days. My blog turns into a sort of mind-dump of thoughts, because when I’m writing, my brain will not shut up.
While I enjoy the journaling, I’d like to get some sort of theme going with the blog, something a little more directed. Something that might encourage a random visitor to come back.
I thought about what I like in other blogs, and what’s out there, and what I can do that’s different to the ten thousand other writing blogs. Something that’s very me. And what am I good at? Well, spouting off my opinion, mostly. I can do that, no problem.
So for the next month, I’m going to experiment with two posts a week. Yes, just two.
Monday will be review day, where I’ll take a book or novel or short and post my opinion of it. However for something different, I’ll only be reviewing free fiction online, the ultimate self-publishing. I’ve been looking around and there is some interesting stuff out there. I look forward to bringing it to your attention; the good and the bad.
Thursday will be writing day, where’s I’ll post on something to do with the craft, whether it’s grammar, technique, tools or inspiration.
However, knowing myself as I do, I’m going to have a little quite corner to witter on if I want to. So I’ll be using my old blogger site, Diary of a Serial Blogger, as my wittering post. Come join if you wish as I journal and freewrite my way through this novel.
I’ll try this for a month and see if it works, both for my readers and for myself.

I hope this directional change works for you. I’m not planning on going anywhere any time soon. :D

I keep thinking about themes, then decide that something else is shiny and interesting and urgently needs thinking about.
