The blues

I can’t stop sneezing.

My fountain pen is dry, and has been for months.

I’ve forgotten how to multi-task.

I keep falling asleep in the chair after work.

My garden is only half dug over.

I think I need to go to bed and start again tomorrow.

  1. I recognise a dose of the blues when I read it and I’m not talking about the “I woke up one morning…” variety. Sometime’s we push ourselves so much that we literally run dry. Take care of yourself and I do hope you had a good night’s sleep.

  2. Remember, “the blues isn’t about making yourself feel better. It’s about making other people feel worse.”

  3. Ha! I think you need to hire Graham to write the blues for you.

But you’ve been through a lot in the last couple of months – it’s all bound to catch up with you.

  4. It doesn’t rhyme. Isn’t the blues supposed to rhyme?

My fountain pen is always dry.
Oh yeah my garden’s half dug over.
My fountain pen is always dry.
    Lost the knack of multi-tasking,
Think I’ll sneeze until I die.

    Now that’s the blues.

  5. Poor you. I tend to get allergies to resulting in non-stop sneezing and sniffling that just makes me feel tired. :-( Yes, perhaps a bit of a holiday is needed.
